This fun and creative workshop invites children aged 7 to 9 years old to play with the book Don’t Trust Fish by Neil Sharpson and Dan Santat. Led by local artist and educator, Anne Cloarec, children will have the opportunity to enter a playful exploration of this hilarious story. Drawing on the many water creatures who live in bathtubs, showers and hidden nooks throughout the Little Red Reading House, participants will become fish detectives and storytellers as they bring this story to life and collaboratively create their own version of Don’t Trust Fish.

Anne Cloarec is an artist and an educator passionate about children and youth literature. Her work consists of getting the story out of the book to play with it in the real and fictional world, so that children and youth build joyful connections with books. Informed by award-winning research, her work supports confidence, understanding, and connection to literacy across diverse learning contexts.

REGISTRATION REQUIRED. This is an inclusive workshop for children aged 7-9 years old. Please include the first name and age of each child when registering. Participation is $25 per family or no charge if cost is a barrier.
